Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer

The Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer will lead the design, development, and testing of LRUs for a leading Defence/Aerospace company. This role requires a strong technical background and experience in electronic circuit simulation and design as well as the ability to lead the LRU development process from preliminary design through to production

Key Responsibilities / Main Job Duties:

• Design, simulate and complete PCB designs and routing of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) according to specifications provided by the Systems Engineer
• Follow the defined electronic hardware design processes and document designs according to the hardware design plan
• Take part in peer reviews of LRUs
• Lead and mentor Junior Engineers, providing technical guidance and support
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, DSP, RF and aeronautical teams to ensure the seamless integration of hardware LRUs
• Test and validate hardware designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (DO-160 and MIL-STD-704)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware design and performance
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic hardware technologies and apply them to projects

Qualification And/Or Professional License(s) & Skills:

• BEng in Electronic, MEng in Electronics, or similar
• Minimum 10 years' experience. 15 years and more preferred
• Experience in the Military and/or Aerospace industry would be advantageous
• Skills: Schematic design, PCB design, simulation of circuits, analysis of circuits, development processes, and testing procedures
