Solid Edge Design Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems using Solid Edge (or SolidWorks) CAD software.
• Oversee mechanical fabrication and assembly processes, including CNC machining and welding.
• Collaborate with electrical assemblers and engineers to deliver complete machine solutions.
• Manage and update company management systems and procurement systems (training provided).
• Provide HR and administrative support as needed within the engineering office.
• Independently handle design projects, liaising directly with clients and internal teams.
• Present company portfolios to clients, assisting the sales team where required.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical engineering design, fabrication, and assembly; candidates with 2+ years experience may be considered if fully competent and able to work independently.
• Proficient in Solid Edge; knowledge of SolidWorks is an alternative.
• Experience in mechanical fabrication, assembly, CNC machining, and welding.
• Experience in an independent design office environment.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
• European passport is advantageous.
• Sales experience is a plus, as the role involves client interactions.
