Foreign Creditors Clerk

The Opportunity

This role lets you use your financial skills to help manage important international supplier accounts. You will receive great team support while building valuable experience in global freight finance. Your daily contributions will ensure smooth operational workflows and help deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

• Reconcile monthly foreign supplier and overseas agent statements against internal shipment files.
• Check and verify international freight charges, foreign disbursements, and vendor invoices accurately.
• Match commercial invoices, shipping documents, and purchase orders inside the financial system.
• Process foreign currency invoices smoothly using SAP and logistics software platforms.
• Investigate and resolve international supplier billing queries and currency exchange rate differences.
• Prepare weekly and monthly foreign creditor payment schedules for the finance management team.
• Work closely with logistics operations staff to balance cost files quickly and efficiently.

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics or Accounting.
• Previous working experience as a Foreign Creditors Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Proven background working in the freight forwarding, clearing, or logistics industry.
• Practical, hands-on experience using SAP accounting software.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet reconciliations.
• Experience with CargoWise software is a strong advantage.
• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong team-player skills.
