Diesel Mechanic / Technician - Heavy Equipment

A reputable and established operation within the agricultural and heavy equipment sector is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join their technical team.

This role is suited to a hands-on, mechanically strong individual who thrives in a site-based environment and takes pride in maintaining machinery to the highest operational standard.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel-powered machinery and specialised harvesting equipment. The role involves both preventative maintenance and breakdown response to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.

• Conduct inspections and advanced diagnostic testing
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Identify and repair worn or damaged components
• Repair, overhaul and replace major assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Work on hydraulic, electrical, fuel, braking, steering and air systems
• Complete machine assessments and prepare technical reports
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Support operational efficiency by ensuring machinery uptime

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic
• Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic (preferred) OR strong proven experience in heavy/agricultural equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
• Own tools essential
• Strong mechanical and technical understanding
• Detail-oriented, dependable and methodical
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
