Group Accountant

Travel: Occasional travel to Kyalami and within Southern Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage both entity-level and consolidated group management accounts.
• Compile and present comprehensive management packs for board reporting.
• Process and review monthly journals to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct vendor and customer financial reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and present accurate cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee treasury management and related reporting.
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Ensure full tax compliance across Southern African jurisdictions.
• Manage the capitalisation and tracking of fixed assets.
• Oversee South African Reserve Bank (SARB) compliance and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Process invoices and ensure the timely recording of financial transactions.

System Exposure:

• Microsoft Dynamics
• Power BI
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• CaseWare (advantageous)

Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent Financial Degree (essential)
• Postgraduate qualification in Finance (advantageous)
• Professional qualification (SAIPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred

Experience:

• Completed articles (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA)
• Minimum of 3 years post-articles experience in a similar accounting or group reporting role
