Technology Lead

Our client is a growing South African fintech shaking up the residential real estate industry. Their platform powers mortgage application switching between originators and banks and expanding across the mortgage value chain.

They're looking for a hands-on Technology Lead to shape their architecture, elevate their delivery frameworks, and guide their tech team as they scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and build scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions
• Lead software delivery, code quality, and development standards across internal and external teams
• Guide technical strategy, infrastructure, and cloud/hybrid readiness
• Mentor developers and foster high-performing, collaborative teams
• Drive solution architecture aligned with evolving product and business needs
• Engage with stakeholders to simplify complex technical issues into actionable insights

Experience required:

• 5–10 years in a technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
• Experience with front-end frameworks, cloud deployments, and containerization
• Proven skills in SDLC oversight, DevOps, CI/CD, and technical governance
• Able to manage vendors, partner delivery, and technical roadmaps
• Excellent communicator, solution-oriented thinker, and team mentor

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge of modern architectural and integration patterns
• Passionate about scalable systems, clean code, and agile delivery
