CNC Press Brake Operator (Steel Sector)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up CNC press brake machines for production runs.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, dies and fixtures.
• Program machine controls to achieve required dimensions and tolerance
• Operate press brake to bend sheet metal into specified shapes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and job orders.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
• Adhere to company health and safety rules and MEIBC regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work closely with supervisors, production planners, and quality inspectors.
• Record production data, downtime and completed jobs.

• Education- Grade 10
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating CNC press brake machines.
• Familiarity with Amanda, Bystronic or similar press brake systems preferred. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficiency in CNC programming and machine controls
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
