Assistant Sales Manager (Heavy Trucks)

Job responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the heavy truck market
• Sell OEM heavy trucks to fleet and corporate clients (not retail)
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
• Prepare quotations and negotiate deals
• Follow up on leads and manage the full sales cycle
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and results
• Provide after-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work closely with internal teams (finance, admin, logistics)

Non-negotiable requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric (minimum)
• Client network
• 3–5 years’ experience in heavy truck or commercial vehicle sales
• OEM sales experience is an advantage
• Proven, traceable sales targets and commission earnings
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good understanding of heavy truck products and market
• Self-motivated and target driven
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• Ability to work independently from Head Office environment
• Own reliable transport (no company vehicle provided)
