Junior Maintenance Technician

CTC: R25,000 minimum (willing to negotiate a higher CTC based on qualifications and experience)

Role Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically qualified individual, even with limited work experience, to gain hands-on exposure and grow within a dynamic production environment.

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining, repairing, and optimising factory machinery.
• Set up machines for production runs, ensuring efficiency and minimising downtime.
• Troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
• Support ongoing modifications and adaptations to existing machinery.
• Implement both preventative and corrective maintenance plans.
• Work proactively to reduce reliance on temporary fixes and ensure long-term machine reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

• Technical qualification (Mechanical/Electrical Trade Test, or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to work with second-hand and modified machinery.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to take on challenges and contribute to long-term solutions.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Exposure to machinery maintenance, repair, and setup.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
