The Rental Agent is responsible for marketing and letting residential or commercial properties, liaising between landlords and tenants, and ensuring a smooth rental process. The role requires strong sales and customer service skills, excellent communication, and a results-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities- Market and advertise rental properties across online platforms and other channels.
- Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants.
- Handle tenant inquiries and provide information on properties, rental terms, and processes.
- Screen and assess tenant applications, including reference and credit checks.
- Negotiate rental agreements and lease terms between landlords and tenants.
- Prepare and finalize lease agreements and related documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords to ensure their properties are leased efficiently.
- Provide ongoing support to tenants and landlords during the tenancy.
- Keep accurate records of properties, tenant applications, and leases.
- Matric / Grade 12 (relevant property or real estate qualification is an advantage).
- Proven experience in property rentals, real estate, or sales.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of property management systems and online property portals.
- Highly organized and able to multitask.
- Valid drivers license preferred (if property viewings are required).
