Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full HR function including onboarding, contracts, disciplinary processes, and leave management
- Oversee full payroll function including salaries, EMP201 submissions, and EMP501 biannual reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT201 returns accurately and on time
- Upload and reconcile bank statements daily
- Compile creditors files, prepare payment runs and manage supplier queries
- Prepare debtors statements, manage age analysis, and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Assist in drafting annual financial statements
- Communicate professionally with customers and suppliers regarding queries, statements, and documentation
- Perform general administrative and ad-hoc duties as required
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: Relevant financial qualification advantageous
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in an all-round accounting, payroll, and HR administration role (non-negotiable)
- Technical:
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (essential)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivots, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience with SARS eFiling, VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, EMP201 & EMP501 submissions
- Skills:
- Excellent English communication (verbal & written)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
