The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions and reporting activities and all validations thereof.
  • Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
  • Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurances, emoluments, assist in tax filings and reviewing of data processed by Administrators
Key Responsibilities
  • Upholding a professional company standard within dealing with employees related to payroll issues.
  • Adhere to strict payroll guidelines on selection of variance discrepancies within the payroll system.
  • Assist in reviews and plans within the payroll department
  • Maintain a balanced checking and authorisation process specified by Payroll Manager
  • Assist Financial Manager by maintaining the correct GL allocation on the payroll system or any function given at any point of time.
  • Will balance EFT batch payments per your team given in the payroll team.
  • To manage your teams daily and monthly tasks by ensuring deadlines are met by the business and your team.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to business and your team with amendments within the payroll department.
  • Will assist or perform certain Financial Manager and Payroll Manager duties or additional duties when certain task are critical within the department;
  • Will provide assistance in completing of payroll for team when needed.
Preferred qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
  • VIP Payroll Administration certificate, phase 1,2,3;
  • Diploma /Degree in Finance Qualification or Payroll Qualification
  • Sage 300 People Payroll Certificate;
  • 7+ Years experience in specific working area Payroll on VIP Premier and 300 Sage People systems;
  • Computer literacy, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, VIP payroll Premier and 300 Sage People systems;
  • Legislative knowledge (SARS, BCEA, LRA, PSIRA);
  • Preferably Security Industry Background;
  • Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
Required Skills
  • Excel-Advanced Level
  • Report Extractions On Sage 300 People
  • Financial Acumen;
  • Excellent communication skill;
  • Knowledge of basic structures for compensation, taxes and wages
  • Proficiency in information analysis
  • Practiced in confidentiality
  • Attention to detail
