The Role: Admin Clerk - SalesThis role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and sales support to ensure the smooth processing of client orders, quotations, and invoicing. The successful candidate will manage customer data, coordinate communications, maintain accurate records, and contribute to effective operational flow from order to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Capture and maintain client and product information accurately on Pastel
- Update and manage price lists, loading lists, and server data
- Prepare and send quotations, process orders, and manage invoicing
- Handle client correspondence via email and telephone
- Manage credit applications, transport quotes, and delivery arrangements
- Prepare delivery notes and over-the-border (SADAC) documentation
- Compile sales, stock, and consignment reconciliations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, analysing results for improvement
- File and archive quotations, invoices, and credit documentation
- Assist with customer queries, walk-in clients, and reception duties
- Support sales representatives and warehouse teams with information and documentation
- Participate in expos, training activities, and social events
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- 2-3 years relevant experience in an administrative or sales support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Pastel
- Valid Code 08 Drivers License
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
- Self-driven with a sales-focused mindset
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Resilient under pressure with a proactive approach to problem-solving
