Legal & Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Legal Management
- Draft, review, and manage contracts across all business units
- Support contract negotiations, including commercial and strategic agreements
- Provide legal advice on operational and strategic matters
- Manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory investigations
- Coordinate external legal counsel and manage associated costs
- Maintain contract management systems and legal documentation
- Compliance Management
- Develop and implement company-wide compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and identify potential gaps
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure organisational alignment
- Lead compliance investigations and incident management processes
- Oversee key compliance areas, including:
- Corporate governance
- Data privacy and protection
- Employment law compliance
- Anti-corruption and competition law
- Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across the organisation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams
- Provide legal and compliance support across all business functions
- Liaise with regional and global legal/compliance teams
- Engage with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of compliance programmes
- Lead or contribute to internal and external audits
- Support major business transactions and strategic initiatives
- Drive process improvements and compliance system enhancements
- Reporting & Knowledge Management
- Prepare legal and compliance reports for management
- Maintain legal documentation, templates, and policy frameworks
- Develop and manage internal knowledge-sharing platforms
- Track and report on compliance performance and risk metrics
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- Admission as an Attorney or relevant legal qualification (preferred)
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in legal and compliance roles
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, electronics, or multinational environments (preferred)
- Exposure to cross-border or multinational operations is advantageous
- Contract management and negotiation
- Compliance programme implementation
- Regulatory and legal advisory
