TMO 15200 - Cost and Management Accountant

Employer Description

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Durban

• Creating and maintaining the plants costing module for finished goods and components
• Verification and updating of raw materials, spares and consumables pricing in SAP
• Verification of bill of materials and adhoc projects required by plant management on BOMs
• Standard and overhead cost roll ups for new and existing items across all branch plants
• Completion of accounting procedures
• Compiling of monthly journal entries to be reviewed by Financial Manager
• Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations for Financial Manager to review
• Participate in capital projects and help assist capital evaluations and undertake monitoring and forecasting during the year
• Communication of stock take variances across locations as provided by logistics department post stock takes to Plant Management and Financial Manager
• Assisting with yearend process as well as with internal and external audits

• Matriculation
• BCom degree in Accounting or Equivalent
• CIMA or CIS Certificate

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Technically sound with proven abilities in capex modelling, costing, budget process, management, accounting and reporting
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Valid drivers licence and own transport
