HR & Admin Officer

Doornkraal Agri, based in the Witzenberg Valley in Ceres, is a leading and well-established producer of apples, pears, nectarines and cherries. The company has an exciting opportunity available for an energetic and dedicated HR & Admin Officer to join their team.

The successful incumbent will report to the Financial Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Process wages deductions and reconciliations
  • Coordination and recordkeeping of recruitment & selection processes
  • Coordination and recordkeeping of training & development
  • Ensure compliance to HR systems, policies and procedures
  • Conduct induction of new employees
  • Setup and recordkeeping of employment and housing contracts
  • Coordination and recordkeeping of disciplinary actions (warnings, hearings, CCMA cases etc.)
  • Coordination and recordkeeping of performance management process
  • Coordinate the reporting and administration of occupational injuries (IODs)
  • Plan and order PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Arrange Doornkraal Agri staff functions and team building sessions
  • Provide personal assistance to the CEO
  • Office administration

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR would be advantageous
  • 2-5 years’ experience in the processing of wages
  • 2-5 years’ experience in the coordination and administration of HR matters
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
  • High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Results-orientated and goal-driven
  • Energetic and ability to work under pressure
  • Driver’s licence and own transport
