Maintenance Technician / Millwright

REQUIREMENTS:

• Trade-tested Millwright.
• 35 years maintenance experience, preferably within an FMCG, food processing, or packaging environment.
• Experience working with automated production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience working with:
• 3-phase motors.
• Variable speed drives (VSDs).
• Pneumatic systems.
• Industrial sensors.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and machine schematics.
• Must be able to work rotational shifts and weekends.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience within an FMCG food processing and packaging environment.
• Experience working in an automated manufacturing environment.

DUTIES:

• Ensure production equipment reliability.
• Execute preventative maintenance activities.
• Provide support for utilities and infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance systems and stores control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety requirements.
• Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Attend to all breakdowns, as well as minor maintenance activities, within the targeted turnaround period.
• Maintain maintenance costs within budget.
• Achieve maintenance schedule attainment targets.
