Senior Bookkeeper (3 month contract to go perm)

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
• General ledger maintenance
• Account receivables and payable processing and reconciliations
• Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations
• Process monthly journals and adjustments
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes, journals and reconciliations
• Manage inventory control systems and processes
• Quotations, orders, and invoices

Education Requirements:

• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance

Job Requirements and Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in an accounting position is essential
• Sage or Pastel Evolution knowledge preferred
• Proficient in MS packages
• Deadline driven
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
• Team player
