Our client, a contracting company seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Tube Fitter to join our team on a month-to-month contract basis at our Rosslyn, Pretoria site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Installation, modification, and maintenance of instrument tubing systems
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
- Installation of impulse lines, pneumatic tubing, and associated fittings
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and specifications
- Conducting pressure tests and inspections on completed tube installations
- Collaborating with instrumentation technicians and engineers on site
- Recognised Trade Test Certificate as an Instrument Mechanician / Fitter or relevant qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in instrument tube fitting within an industrial environment
- Proficiency in working with various tubing materials (stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.)
- Knowledge of Swagelok or equivalent compression fittings
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Valid driver's licence advantageous
- Strong understanding of site safety, HSE compliance, and permit-to-work procedures
- Must be available to start at short notice
