Technical Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase equipment, materials, and services according to project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and secure favourable terms.
• Conduct cost analysis.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving queries.
• Prepare, analyse, and submit defined regular/adhoc procurement reports to support analyses.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
• Track orders, manage delivery timelines, and resolve supply issues.
• Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and vendors.
• Work independently and within a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adhere to ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity and transparency.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Purchasing or in Supply Chain Management.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Solid organisational and analytical abilities.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Numeracy and ability to perform standard business calculations.
• Strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and sound judgment in complex situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good time management.
• Driver’s License.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
