Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior External Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role is ideal for a candidate at the early stage of their career who is eager to develop within the electrical and energy solutions industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in person, building relationships, and driving sales growth through site visits, meetings, and proactive business development. Electrical product experience is not required, as full product training will be provided.We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for sales and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular visits to maintain and grow relationships
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
- Present and promote company products and solutions
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and sales proposals
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and delivery
- Capture and maintain accurate information on CRM/Sage systems
- Provide feedback regarding orders, pricing, and product availability
- Resolve queries and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance objectives
- Report on sales activities, market trends, and competitor insights
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
- Strong customer service and sales orientation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate (essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for visits
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Target-driven with a proactive mindset
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Team player with a willingness to collaborate
- Ability to work under pressure
