Field Service Technician (Transport Refrigeration)

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing of transport refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Perform breakdown and emergency call-out support when required.
- Complete inspections, service reports, and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Install and commission refrigeration equipment and related components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal preferred).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working on Thermo King, Carrier Transicold, or similar transport refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of transport refrigeration, cold-chain logistics, and fleet refrigeration equipment.
- Experience with mobile refrigeration units, diesel engines, electrical systems, and electronic controllers.
- Exposure to compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigeration control systems.
- Auto-electrical experience would be advantageous.
