Test Analyst Intern
Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our company as a Test Analyst Intern. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical aptitude, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating Test Plans and Cases: Developing detailed test plans and test cases based on the software requirements and specifications.Executing Tests: Performing manual tests to identify bugs and issues in the software.
Defect Management: Logging, tracking, and reporting defects, and working with developers to resolve them.
Gather / Create test data
Recreates:
o Make sure that the spec documents are aligned and available.
o Understand the details provided in the log, including the environment, steps to reproduce, and any error messages.
o Ensure that the testing environment matches the conditions under which the bug was found.
o Execute the steps exactly as described in the log to see if the issue can be reproduced.
o Record whether the bug was successfully reproduced and any additional observations that might help in diagnosing the issue.
o Share the findings with the development team to assist in fixing the bug.
Documentation: Documenting test results and creating reports on the quality of the software.
Collaboration: Working closely with developers, Product Owners, and other internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements, ensure comprehensive test coverage and possible Show and tells for logs that have passed internal testing.
Regression Testing: Conducting regression tests to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.Troubleshoot / Investigate: identify errors in a software program
o Reproduce the Issue: Replicate the conditions under which the bug occurs to observe it firsthand.
o Identify the Bug: Locate the exact part of the code where the error is happening.
o Analyze the Root Cause: Understand why the bug is occurring by examining the code and its logic.
Requirements:
Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environmen
