SALON & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

DURBANVILLE - Northern Suburbs, Western Cape (ZA)

START: ASAP / 01 April 2026

REPORT TO: Business Owner

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

  • Tuesday to Friday 08:30am - 17:30pm
  • Saturday 08:30 - 15:00
  • OFF on Mondays
  • CLOSED Sundays & Major Public Holidays

COST TO COMPANY & BENEFITS:

  • R10,000 BASIC per month (BOE)
  • Turnover Incentive Commission (KPI based)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. South African citizen
  2. Professional English for business communication (write & speak) / Afrikaans - highly beneficial
  3. At least 5+ years in the Beauty industry with prior Reception & Supervisory experience
  4. Diploma in Beauty Therapy / similar - preferred
  5. Certification in office administration / secretarial - BONUS
  6. Computer literate & proficient in MS Office & Salon Booking Systems (Salonbridge / ESP)
  7. Accounting software experience - BONUS
  8. Confident in updating Social Media (including WhatsApp communication, Gmail & Facebook / Instagram Messages
  9. Professional telephone etiquette - clear, confident, speaking
  10. Beautifully groomed and highly presentable
  11. Demonstrated ability to manage guest communication across multiple channels (phone, email, and in person).
  12. Accurate handling of bookings, payments, and scheduling adjustments.
  13. Sales-oriented with an understanding of upselling spa services and retail add-ons.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  • Coordination of staff & their schedules
  • Drive the monthly turnover - increase sales & revenue
  • Maintain and manage the salon's sales & stock
  • Update social media accounts
  • Respond to booking requests, telephone queries and WhatsApp communication
  • Client services
  • General salon operations
  • Update, capture and maintain client information accurately
  • Front desk operations & general administration
  • Capture & process payments correctly + cash-up
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Maintain the look and hygiene of a welcoming front of house
  • Drive retail of our professional skin care products
