Duties:
Inspects all rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure that all hotel policies and standards have been metApproves rooms for occupancy and ensures room is 100%
Notifies Maintenance of any needed repairs in all guest rooms
Inspects all vacant ready rooms at the beginning of the day for condition and possible occupancy
Lists and itemizes lost and found items. Returns items to guests in accordance with the hotels standards
Reports and delivers valuables found to Reception for safekeeping
Monitors stock levels of all amenities and advises Manager when necessary to order
Practice safe working conditions under the Occupational Safety and Health
Monitors time housekeepers are taking to clean guest rooms and ensures that rooms are ready on time
Ensures all stayover rooms are cleaned timeously
All other duties assigned as and when required
Requirements:
Grade 12Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality will be an advantage
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Housekeeping role within a 4/5* luxury property
Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
High level of physical endurance
Must be computer literate
Leadership experience
Strong training skills and experience
Effective rostering abilities
Knowledgeable with the controlling of expenses and inventories
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
