Network Technician

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically minded Network Technician to join their growing team in South Africa.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working within the ISP and wireless networking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for network installations, troubleshooting connectivity issues, client support, and maintaining network performance.
The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, capable of working independently, and passionate about networking technology.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid passport and work permit/visa
- Matric certificate
- 1 to 2 years experience within:
- Internet Service Provider (ISP) environments
- On-site installations
- Technical support
- Wireless internet troubleshooting
- Knowledge of:
- MikroTik
- Ubiquiti
- VoIP systems
- CCTV systems
- Valid Code 8 or Code 10 drivers license
- Own reliable transport
- Comfortable working at heights
- Computer literate
- Afrikaans and English speaking
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain network equipment
- Configure routers, switches, and access points
- Troubleshoot wireless and connectivity issues
- Provide technical support to clients
- Monitor network performance
- Assist with network security implementation
- Work independently and within a team environment
