Financial Accountant

A well-established organisation within the services industry is seeking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Edenvale. This role offers the opportunity to be fully involved in the finance function within a hands-on and performance-driven environment.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a BCom-qualified professional with completed SAICA articles and 34 years post-articles experience, who thrives in a high-energy environment and takes ownership of their work. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the full finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting business operations through reliable financial insights.

The appointed individual will work closely with management and stakeholders, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes while bringing a strong personality and proactive mindset to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full finance function, including month-end and year-end processes
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Support audit processes and preparation of annual financial statements
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to support financial decision-making

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• BCom degree with completed SAICA articles
• 34 years post-articles experience
• Strong understanding of the full finance function
• Proven ability to take ownership and work independently
• Strong personality with a go-getter attitude
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
