Head of Finance Operations
This role goes beyond traditional financial reporting. You'll be responsible for overseeing the full finance operations function across multiple entities while working closely with operational leaders to optimise performance, strengthen governance, and ensure the business remains financially agile.

Duties:
- Lead the full finance operations function across multiple entities.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning.
- Partner with Operations Directors and senior leadership on project financial performance.
- Oversee monthly management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Manage debtors, creditors, WIP and asset management.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and tax regulations.
- Review and approve payments while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and operational efficiencies.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom in Accounting
- BCom Honours Accounting CTA
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) qualification (essential)
Experience:
- Completed SAICA articles
- Minimum of 6 years' post-articles experience.
- At least 4 years' experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting and cash flow management.
- Proven experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction or project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and South African tax legislation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working across multiple entities or international operations will be advantageous.
- Exposure to Buildsmart and Portuguese language skills would be beneficial.
