Waiter (Fixed term)

The ideal candidate for this position is well-versed in serving distinguished clientele, has great communication skills and is no stranger to exceptional service.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have grade 12, a relevant hospitality qualification would be beneficial
- At least 3 - 5 years of waitering experience in a luxury environment
- Basic knowledge of wine and the surrounding wine region
- Basic math skills, hands-on cash register experience, and knowledge on ordering information systems
- Must be well-presented with an enthusiastic personality
- Flexible, accountable individual with excellent interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure table setup: linen, silverware, glasses
- Greet guests at their assigned tables, ensuring they have food and wine menus
- Must know all menu items, ingredients used and preparation methods
- Accurately take orders using POS system, and deliver within time limits
- Make sure the kitchen & bar have received the orders
- Clearing of dirty cutlery and crockery when guests are done with them
- Upsell by offering coffees and desserts
- Make sure the restaurant is clean and hygienic
- Uniform must always be clean
