Shift Leader: Laundry

Fancourt, South Africas premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route.

The Laundry department is offering an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader Laundry to join the team.

We are looking for someone with a minimum qualification of Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF 4 certificate) and with at least 2 years experience in a laundry environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the stock control of rooms linen by carrying out monthly stock takes;
• Responsible for counting of linen - going and coming from outside service providers;
• Ensure that departments are not abusing linen by performing frequent on the job training with Housemen and Room Attendants on the handling of linen;
• Report and maintain quality of linen;
• Ensure that all guest laundry and dry cleaning is billed and handed over to the Front Office for charging to guest accounts;
• Recommend change and improvements to the Laundry operation to ensure the achievement of set objectives.

The ideal candidate:

• Has a passion for the industry with the ability to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards;
• Has to be physically fit in order to lift and carry heavy bags;
• Has to be accurate in counting stock and pay attention to detail.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts.
