Job Description
Our client is seeking a Junior Deceased Estates Administrator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full administration process of deceased estates from initial reporting through to finalisation, ensuring efficient communication and coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage the administration of deceased estates from initial reporting through to finalisation
- Liaise with the Master of the High Court, clients, heirs, SARS (for tax clearance certificates), and other relevant third parties
- Prepare, complete, and submit all required estate documentation and statutory forms
- Handle estate-related queries and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all interested parties
- Apply knowledge of insolvent estates where applicable (advantageous)
- Matric + Certificate or Diploma in Legal Studies / Paralegal Studies or Short courses in Deceased Estates Administration or Fiduciary Services or Exposure to estate administration systems or legal practice management systems (advantageous)
Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in deceased estate administration
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Professional and well-presented
- Non-smoker (preferred)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Task-driven with a strong analytical mindset
- Supportive and collaborative team player
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy
