Bookkeeper

Minimum Requirements:

1. Relevant qualification such as a Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping Certificate, or equivalent
2. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Pastel)
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Capture supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
• Prepare and process customer invoices and credit notes
• Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, and petty cash
• Assist with stock reconciliations and costing reports
• Prepare VAT submissions and ensure tax compliance
• Support monthly management reporting and year-end audits
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper financial controls
