Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts, including debtors and creditors
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee payments
• Capture financial data accurately in Pastel and Excel
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information

Requirements:

• Relevant accounting qualification is advantageous
• 12 years experience in a junior accountant role
• Extensive knowledge of:
• Accounts management
• Debtors and creditors
• Excel
• Pastel Accounting
• Reconciliations
• Bank accounts and payments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
• Self-starter, go-getter attitude, and able to work independently
• Must be willing to undergo criminal and ITC checks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proactive and able to take initiative
