Construction Site Foreman (Paarl - Onsite)

ENVIRONMENT:

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day site operations, supervise subcontractors, ensure quality workmanship, and help deliver projects safely and on schedule. You must reside in the Paarl area, have experience in a similar role with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, have a solid understanding of building construction principles and best practices and knowledge of brickwork, cavity walls, waterproofing, and DPC detailing.

DUTIES:

• Assist with the day-to-day supervision of construction activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and set out work from plans.
• Oversee brickwork and ensure correct construction methods are followed.
• Ensure correct waterproofing, damp-proof courses (DPCs), and brickwork detailing.
• Supervise plastering works, including setting out, dotting for plumb and square, and quality control.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors.
• Monitor workmanship across multiple trades including Bricklaying, Tiling, Carpentry, Ceilings & Roofing.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Maintain quality standards and assist with project progress reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must reside in the Paarl area or surrounds.
• Experience as a Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar construction role
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Understanding of building construction principles and best practices in South Africa.
• Knowledge of brickwork, cavity walls, waterproofing, and DPC detailing.
• Experience supervising subcontractors.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Valid Driver's Licence / transport
