Retail Tax Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit tax returns, provisional tax, VAT, dividends tax, import duties, and related documentation
• Handle tax queries and audits, including providing information to tax authorities and auditors
• Perform reconciliations between revenue authorities and group entities across different countries
• Maintain tax records, status schedules, and correspondence, and ensure that payments are made timeously
• Stay up to date with tax legislation changes and apply them in calculations and processes
• Assist with ad hoc tax projects when required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• A recognised finance-related degree at an NQF Level 7 or higher
• Solid practical exposure to tax work, ideally 2+ years
• Previous experience in a tax or finance role within a larger organisation will count in your favour
• Comfortable managing your own workload and getting things done
• Proven ability to juggle deadlines and keep calm when things get busy
• Sharp eye for detail and accuracy
• Confident communicator, able to engage with external authorities when needed
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks sensibly
• Good computer literacy, including confident use of Excel
