Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and equipment
• Support engineering projects from concept through to implementation and commissioning
• Conduct technical investigations, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates
• Provide engineering support to maintenance, operations, and production teams

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Experience within the mining, mineral processing, or automotive industry is essential
• Strong understanding of mining and mineral processing equipment and operations will be advantageous
• Experience with mechanical design, manufacturing, and engineering principles
• Exposure to process plants, bulk material handling systems, or mineral processing facilities will be beneficial
• Experience managing engineering projects and technical deliverables

Qualification:

• BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
