Senior Manager Software Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Develop the strategy for a significant area of responsibility, such as a function, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities. Ensure successful implementation.
• Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organisational strategy.
• Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy, and quantify business outcomes.
• Develop the most complex existing and new application by analysing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Develop new applications to meet customer requirements .
• Manage and report on the performance of the function / business area; set appropriate performance objective for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these.
• Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, identifying their needs and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decision.

Education:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
• Honours Degree
• 10 - 15 years' experience providing leadership in systems, processes, operational challenges, translating strategy into objective and driving long-term-success
