Electronic Technician – Technical Role

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to join a specialised technical team based in Umhlanga, Durban. This is a hands-on technical role involving advanced electronic systems, including work on cabling and system integration connecting hydrogen-based technology to engine components.

• Installation, configuration, and integration of advanced electronic systems
• Technical work involving cabling and connectivity between hydrogen systems and engine components
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics
• Testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electronic systems and connections
• Ensuring all work complies with safety, quality, and technical standards
• Working closely with engineering and technical teams where required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electronic Technician or in a similar technical role
• Relevant electronic or technical qualification
• Strong understanding of electronic systems, cabling, and system integration
• Experience working in technical, engineering, or industrial environments
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical tasks
• Willingness to relocate to Durban (Umhlanga) if not currently based in the area

Advantageous Requirements (Not Essential):

• Engineering background or prior experience in engineering-driven roles
• Exposure to alternative energy systems, hydrogen technology, or advanced system integrations
