ð¼ The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Debtors Clerk to join the finance team in Claremont. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full debtors function, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective collections, timely reconciliations, and excellent client service.
This role is key in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting accurate financial reporting.
ð Key Responsibilities- Send invoices, copy invoices, and statements to clients upon request
- Follow up on outstanding payments and manage debt collections
- Resolve client invoice queries professionally and timeously
- Capture and reconcile incoming payments and proof of payments
- Ensure correct allocation of payments to debtor accounts
- Perform debtor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Issue accurate and timely invoices and monthly statements
- Prepare debtor ageing reports and highlight overdue accounts
- Support the finance team with accurate financial data and reporting
- Matric with Accounting and Mathematics
- 35 years experience in a Debtors Clerk / Accounts Receivable role
- Tertiary qualification advantageous
- Experience with Sage and strong Excel skills advantageous
- Strong communication and client liaison skills
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
