Retail Logistics Warehouse Manager

The manager is responsible for staff supervision, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement of warehouse systems and processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of retail products.
• Supervise warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics teams to maintain productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counts and regular audits.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery to retail outlets and customers.
• Implement and maintain warehouse layout, systems, and workflows for optimal space utilization.
• Oversee compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Manage supplier and transport service relationships, ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse efficiency, delivery times, and cost control.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory, logistics performance, and budget utilization.
• Lead, train, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of performance and teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proven experience managing teams and coordinating distribution operations.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office, ERP/WMS systems).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
