Job Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic Senior Management Couple to join the team at their Beach Lodge in the Western Cape, bringing strong leadership, guest engagement and operational expertise to this unique 5-star property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Manage and train staff across departments, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Handle guest relations, including resolving queries and ensuring personalized service.
- Coordinate logistics such as transfers, activity scheduling and guest itineraries.
- Monitor budgets, stock control, and procurement to maintain cost efficiency.
- Maintain property standards, including facilities, vehicles and equipment.
- Prepare and submit operational and HR reports to senior management.
- Drive marketing and guest engagement initiatives to enhance brand reputation.
- Uphold company values and represent company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
Both Candidates:
- Minimum 5 years experience in 5-star properties
- Own transport
- Valid drivers license (essential)
HIM:
- FGASA Level 1 Marine (or Level 1 with Marine to be completed within 6 months of employment) all guiding qualifications must be up to date and valid
- First Aid Level 1
- Valid PDP
HER:
- Basic HR knowledge
- All-rounder knowledge across departments (advantageous)
- PAN knowledge (essential)
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
Skills
Both Candidates:
- Strong team management and time management skills
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinking with the ability to think on their feet
- Able to work independently without supervision
- Outgoing personalities with strong guest engagement and hosting skills
HIM:
- Strong maintenance and vehicle maintenance skills
- Excellent hosting skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Basic HR knowledge
HER:
- Strong administrative skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong hosting skills
- Accommodation (couple only, no children or pets)
- Food allowance
- Work cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Uniform provided
