The Role: Group Accounts and Finance OfficerThis is a hands-on role covering day-to-day bookkeeping as well as management accounting across several group entities. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to support key decision-making. The position is ideal for a finance professional who can manage detailed accounts while also providing higher-level analysis to guide business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping and management accounting
- Manage bookkeeping across multiple entities, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards
- Handle payroll, invoicing, credit control, and expense management
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership review
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting across the group
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors when required
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and identify efficiency opportunities
- Ensure systems and processes are scalable to match business growth
- 3-5 years proven experience in both bookkeeping and management accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
- Advanced Excel and strong financial analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines simultaneously
- Proactive, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualification (or qualified by experience)
