Junior Accountant
- Month Contract | Immediate Start | Northern Suburbs, Cape Town
A well-established business in the furniture industry is looking for a hands-on and detail-driven Junior Accountant to join their finance team on a six-month contract.
This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available and looking to gain solid, practical experience within a small, busy finance team. You'll be involved in the day-to-day accounting function and play an important role in keeping the finance operation running smoothly and accurately.
What you'll be responsible for- Daily Sage processing, including banking, invoices, journals, and intercompany transactions
- Accounting reconciliations as required
- General finance administration support
- Assisting with payroll processing from time to time
- Responding to information requests from creditors and internal staff
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks
- Matric (essential)
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting
- Sage processing experience
- Basic Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organised, reliable, and able to work well in a team
- Good communication skills
- This is a six-month contract role
- The successful candidate must be immediately available
- The role is full-time and office-based in the Northern Suburbs
