We are looking for an experienced and strategic Online Programme Manager to lead and deliver a core programme of work within our dynamic Digital team. You will oversee multiple cross-functional e-commerce projects across fashion, beauty, home, and food — from initial discovery through to execution, financial oversight, and benefits realisation.

Working within a Digital Product and DevOps structure, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving our operating model. A major part of your scope will be driving scale, speed, and efficiency across people, platforms, and processes, while ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvement across all digital initiatives.

Â

What you’ll do:

Programme Management
  • This includes programme management of projects from funding requirements to discovery, execution, financial management and benefits realisation, within budgeted time and cost.
  • Manage resource and workflow planning and scheduling for the specific projects.
  • Report against the programme’s critical path, deliverables and benefits in accordance with team requirements.
  • Drive integration across internal teams, bringing together core business champions in Fulfilment and Operations, Digital Product and IT to deliver to the online ambition.
  • Manage business stakeholders across the organisation, communicating programme status updates to enterprise and trading teams across fashion, beauty, home and food. Ability to communicate confidently at senior level.
  • Crucially, to provide strategic and operational input to shaping the Digital Product and Devops operating model, helping to shape ways of working, scale and velocity within these cross-functional teams.
  • Actively manage project risks and issues through to resolution.
  • Present project status, issues, risks and decisions in Steering Committee meetings.
  • Actively manage project quality and ensure that quality standards are met.
Commercial Management
  • Develop commercial models that accurately reflect the value of Digital offerings, considering the cost of their development and any other peripheral costs (i.e., marketing of products and services).
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of product frameworks, based on the uptake of Digital offerings and other pertinent metrics.
  • Determine the accuracy of assumptions used for the financial calculations on cost versus benefit.
  • Strive to continuously improve the digital cost per acquisition, driving efficiencies without compromising quality.
Financial and Commercial Acumen
  • Prepare the Commercial budget as a component of the overall Digital budget and manage financial performance against the budget to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain and apply a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
  • Monitor the overall performance of the Commercial business and recommend adjustments in the allocation of finances, based on progress against goals.
  • Ability to think strategically to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the digital and financial services landscape, including conceptualisation and development of new digital business models
  • Insights Driven, with strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, market trends, and customer insights to inform decision-making
  • Strong Agile Project Management skills
  • Executive presence and the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and plan, priorities, and track execution across cross-functional teams
  • Experience in contract negotiation and management, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.

Your expertise:

  • Senior level Project/Programme management skills.
  • Relevant business (strong commercial orientation) knowledge.
  • 8 – 10 years of Project/Programme Management experience, preferably in e-commerce.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualification in Finance, Business Studies, Information Systems, or equivalent.
