Workshop Foreman

About the Role

As Workshop Foreman, you will:

• Control and coordinate the workshop production team to achieve project delivery deadlines.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
• Plan and optimize production flow to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
• Support, coach, and develop your team to build a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.

• Drive production planning and execution to meet contract requirements.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring resources and materials are fully utilized.
• Implement and enforce SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) compliance.
• Monitor budgets, labour, and overtime planning to maintain cost efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards (SANS, AWS, ASME, ISO 3834).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
• Conduct regular staff coaching, training, and performance reviews.

• Qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 15 years experience in a fabrication/production environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing successful production teams.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, metrics, and lean principles.
• Excellent people management and coaching skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and STRUMIS.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
