Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Draughtsman with technical drawings and design work.
- Create and amend drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare drawings for laser-cutting machines.
- Assist with the development and drawing of samples.
- Make drawing adjustments according to specifications and feedback.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and meet manufacturing requirements.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing.
- Assist with general draughting and design-related tasks as required.
- Relevant qualification in Draughting, Mechanical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Experience or exposure to steel manufacturing, sheet metal or laser cutting would be advantageous.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the Senior Draughtsman.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ideal Candidate
A motivated junior candidate who is eager to develop their draughting skills in a steel manufacturing environment and gain hands-on experience with SolidWorks, sample development and laser-cutting drawings.
