Maintenance Technician

Minimum requirements:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, or Film Blowing).
• Proven mechanical and fault-finding skills.
• Electrical and hydraulic experience (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance duties.
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on injection moulding machines.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on ancillary equipment, including: dryers, hopper loaders, conveyors, cooling towers, chillers and other process support equipment.
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns on injection moulding machines and ancillary systems.
• Oversee: mould maintenance, vehicle maintenance, forklift servicing, basic building and facility maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance effectively.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other maintenance-related tasks as directed by management.
