WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a global fintech organisation in search of a meticulous and proactive Payroll Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage end-to-end payroll across local and international operations—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery within a dynamic and growing business.
About the Role
As the Payroll Administrator, you will manage the payroll process for the South African entity and liaise with global payroll providers for international staff. You’ll ensure timely, accurate salary processing, handle employee queries, and collaborate closely with internal Finance and HR teams to deliver a seamless payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities- Run full monthly payroll for South African employees (via Sage 300 People)
- Manage inputs for foreign payroll processing (e.g. Mauritius) through local payroll partners
- Update employee records and payroll data (salary changes, benefits, deductions)
- Respond to employee queries on payroll, UIF, PAYE, and other deductions
- Prepare employment verification letters and monthly reporting for Finance and HR
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies
- BCom or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Solid understanding of South African payroll tax and labour regulations
- Proficiency in Sage (or similar payroll software) and Excel
- Strong administrative and numerical accuracy skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Previous experience with Mauritius or other international payroll
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction payroll processing
- Exposure to HR systems or workflows in a fintech or SaaS environment
