Group Finance Manager

A well-established and rapidly expanding organisation within the hospitality and property-linked environment is seeking to appoint a seasoned Group Finance Manager / Finance Exec based in Melrose. This opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic, operational business where finance plays a critical role in supporting growth, structure, and commercial performance.

This role is ideally suited to a hands-on CA(SA) with strong post-article experience and exposure to FMCG or property environments. The successful candidate will take ownership of group financial management across multiple entities while partnering closely with leadership and operational teams to drive business performance and financial excellence.

The appointed individual will be responsible for strengthening financial processes, delivering strategic financial insight, and ensuring robust governance within a fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee group financial management, reporting, and controls across multiple entities
• Drive financial strategy, governance, and operational efficiency
• Partner closely with operational teams to support business growth and performance
• Implement and strengthen financial systems, structures, and controls
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Deliver financial insights to support executive decision-making
• Play an active role in commercial and operational finance initiatives

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
• Minimum 35 years post-article experience
• Previous experience in FMCG or the property industry is advantageous
• Strong financial reporting and group finance management experience
• Proven ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to influence business outcomes through strategic financial insight
