Spray Technician

The Links Golf Course Maintenance department is now accepting applications for a Spray Technician someone who can add his / her skills to the team and that takes great pride and pleasure in caring for our golf courses.

We consider the following as essential:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 10 or equivalent,
• Must have a valid drivers license,
• Experience in operating mowing and spraying equipment,
• Must have gained at least 1 years of golf course maintenance experience,
• Must have good hand-eye coordination, be able to work with machinery and grass,
• An introductory course in the use of chemicals and a pest control officer qualification will be an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):

• Application of chemicals to greens, fairways, tees and other areas of the golf course,
• Mixing of chemicals and fertilizers,
• Keeping the chemicals store clean, neat and locked at all times,
• Maintaining a record of chemicals used,
• Controlling and ensuring cleanliness and safety of all spraying equipment.

Adverse working conditions:

• Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
• Must be prepared to work outside in inclement weather.
